"As an April 14 Gazette story stated, several members of the Northampton School Committee will be stepping down at the end of their terms, and I wish to thank all the School Committee members for their work. Special education is both a personal and professional passion, so I’m delighted to announce that I’ll be a candidate for Northampton’s Ward 6 School Committee seat.
I fully understand the important issues facing our school district. It’s no secret that both district and family finances are strapped and many in our community are reeling. I look forward to collaborating with students, families, school staff, and local leaders to tackle these challenges. If elected to represent Ward 6 on the School Committee, I will be all in for all families."

"Thank you to the Northampton Ward 6 voters for electing me to serve as your next School Committee representative. Thank you also to the many friends, neighbors, SEPAC families and co-workers who encouraged me in this endeavor. It’s no secret that this campaign season has been difficult, divisive, and for some seats, costly. However, it is now time to remember our focus as a School Committee is on education and that we come to this work for the sake of the students, educators and families of Northampton. I look forward to collaborating with my colleagues as we tackle the challenges and celebrate the successes of Northampton schools. As always, I remain all in for all families."
